Wow. I can see by the date on my previous blog that it’s been a while since I’ve updated the site! I promised myself  and Jimmy Bones  this wouldn’t happen. An update is in serious order here.

Earlier in the month Extra.Ordinary. screened at the Banff Mountain Films Festival’s Radical Reel show for a crowd of over 1200! We took runner-up honors in the Peoples Choice Clap off. According the “Clap-o-Meter” we were  a close second to Bjorn Enga  (Kranked) and his mountain bike film Revolve. All you hardcore bike nuts probably know of Bjorn and his killer movies. It was a great experience to be part of such prestigious festival and inspiring to see so many great mountain culture films.

Extra.Ordinary has been chosen to be part of the The Banff Mountain Film Festival’s world tour.  A short festival cut of the film will screen as part of the Radical Reels Tour. Keep your eyes and ears open for locations and dates. Get all the info on the Banff Mountain Film Festival’s world tour here

As I write this the Film is screening at the Kendall Mountain Film Festival in England. Due to the recent flooding in the Midlands of England Kendall is semi-submerged, but reports say the festival went ahead and is unaffected by the floods which is great news!

Extra.Ordinary. was also recently picked up by the Stowe Mountain Film in Vermont. We are stoked to be a last minute addition to the East Coast event. And even more stoked to be screening alongside the Sweetgrass Production’s awesome flick Signatures.

A big thanks to everyone who has helped make Extra.Ordinary. a success!

Revolve is one sick film… the final seggie ranks at the top of my “all-time awesomest” segment list. Stoked for you guys to be judged in the same league as that! When you get rich and famous, I’ll be able to tell people that I use to be your boss.

lol some of the reviews people make are a little out there, many times over i ask myself if they actually read the information and reports before writing or whether they take a moment to skim the post title and type the first idea that drifts into their minds. anyways, it is really relaxing to read through clever commentary once in a while instead of the same, old oppinion vomit that i invariably see on the web i’m off to have fun with a few rounds of facebook poker so long

Unexpected swell rolled into Miyazaki last weekend and some of the better point breaks started sending.

Good morning, Miyazaki. – first taste

Good morning, Miyazaki. – first taste

I’ve barely had my video camera out since we moved to Miyazaki and I feel slightly guilty. It’s just too hard to film when the surf’s so good, and all you want to do is be in the water yourself.
I’ve only managed to grab a few shaky shots, not really much to write home about, [...]

b4apres Media’s debut film, “AZADI: Freedom”, is a cultural documentary as seen through the eyes of skiers. Set in the disputed region of Kashmir, an area deemed the “most dangerous place in the world” during the violent militant insurgency of the 1990’s. What director Anthony Bonello and crew find in 2010 is an aesthetically beautiful [...]
